Shiyan Kaiqi Casting Limited Company was first set up in 1951.

It is a specialized casting enterprise that mainly produces raw parts of cars and trucks. It is one of the member units of China Casting Association. In 2001, it passed ISO9001andQS9000 International Quality System Attestation.
The company lies north of Wudang Mount, in the city of Shiyan—one of the bases of Chinese trucks and lorries. It covers an area of 90,000m with 55,000m as the manufacture zone. It owns a fixed asset of 60 million yuan with an output value of up to 120 million yuan. It has a staff of 996 people, of whom there are 234 mid-rank and advanced technicians and 156 administrative personals.
The company controls 9 workshops and a branch for machine processing with 3 lines of high pressure multiple touching heads, Z148E slight quiver low pressure and FR516A no-box pressure mould, which has a casting ability of 25 thousand tons every year. In addition, there are 2 more processing lines for wheels and brake drums, which produce 40 thousand parts every year. The company adopts mid-frequency responding electrical furnace— Chongtian furnace double-joint smelting crafts, along with Funan resin sand and membrane-covered emery wick-making techniques. The no-box pressure mould line is entirely controlled by PC procedure. The company possesses 480 sets of instruments including Q384 continuous-passing spouting pellet cleaners, 2ZZ8625 double-work hot wickbox wick-making machines, German GS1000 straight-read spectrum analysts and so on.

The main products of this company add up to 6 serieses, 180 sorts such as truck brake drums, wheels, clutch glands, brake parts, engine gear room covers/stands, gears and the upper-covers of the gearbox. The products are fit for most of the truck styles of Dongfeng Company like EQ1061, EQ1092, EQ1118, EQ1141, EQ1208 and EQ4186. The clutch glands and covers of EQ153 and EQ154 are supplied only by this company and cover 100% of the market in this area. The company sells its products to 17 factories and districts in Hubei, Shanxi, Jiangsu, Guangdong and so on. Comprehensive casting waste is limited under 5% for a long period. Its products have been entitled first-rate in the province and even in the Department for many times. Since 1998, the company has been chosen for 5 years as an excellent supplier and the best supplier. At present, the company is active in advancing to the new technique fields, bringing in Aobeiqiu iron-production techniques and building an exporting base of Shiyan casting products. It can provide 15,000 tons of exporting casting products.
